The Strange World

This world looks so routine. Yet, it's such a strange place. An event shook me recently. I was fast asleep in the night. Suddenly, I woke up and found myself at a completely different location than where I had slept. Mysteriously, I landed up in my native hometown a few hundred kilometers away from where I had slept. I was stunned to wake up there. My home was just 5 mins drive from the place where I had landed. I re-looked at the area to re-confirm that this indeed is the location from my hometown. Before I could make any sense of what was happening, the next best thing to do was to reach home. I needed to call my mom and ask her to send a car to pick me up. Immediately, I decided to pull my phone out from my pocket. As I was putting my hands in my pocket, I woke up. I realized that I am still in my bed. It was all a dream! It shook me.

That which felt so real was only a dream? This dream was so real. I could feel the emotions. I could feel with confidence that I am awake even while I was actually asleep. Wonder if I would wake up again one day to find out that even this is a dream? May be when I die? This sounds like Inception. Or the Ashtavakra story. Whatever it is. I was still sleepy. Since it was still the middle of the night, I went back to sleep again peacefully.
